Located near the famous Selous ecosystem, Mikumi National Park is Tanzania’s fourth-largest national park and is home to a wide range of wildlife including lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, and numerous bird species. Its open plains make wildlife viewing easier and more rewarding, even within a short visit.
This seamless safari experience combines scenic flights, exciting game drives, and a relaxing bush lunch—allowing you to immerse yourself in nature while enjoying comfort and convenience.
Your adventure begins early in the morning with an optional pickup from your hotel in Zanzibar, followed by a transfer to the airport. If you opt out of the transfer, you will meet the team directly at the designated meeting point at the airport. Around 7:45 AM, you will board your flight to Mikumi National Park, enjoying scenic views as you fly over the coastline and inland landscapes.
Upon arrival at approximately 8:30 AM, you will meet your professional safari guide and begin your shared game drive in a comfortable 4x4 vehicle. As you explore the park, you will encounter a variety of wildlife in their natural habitat while your guide shares in-depth knowledge about the animals and environment.
Around midday, you will take a break to enjoy a delicious bush lunch accompanied by fresh fruits and refreshing drinks, offering a relaxing moment in the heart of the wilderness. After lunch, continue your game drive, maximizing your chances of spotting more wildlife and capturing unforgettable moments.
In the afternoon, you will be transferred back to the airstrip for your scheduled flight departing around 3:00 PM. Upon arrival in Zanzibar, you will either be transferred back to your hotel or conclude your tour at the airport, depending on your selected option.
